Paul Harris/George Connor Economic Development

Join us as we recognize our Paul Harris Fellows from Rotary Club of Hershey. 

Following the awards, Mr. George Connor, Executive Director of the Dauphin County Department of Community and Economic Development, will speak on a variety of issues effecting Dauphin County.  

George has a BA in Business Communications from Penn State University.  He's been with the Dauphin County Department of Community and Economic Development since December 2002, administering the Community Development Block Grant Program, the HOME Investment Partnership Program, and the Housing Rehabilitation Program as well as acting as the main liaison for the DCDCED to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition, he administers the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery grant program and he secured Phase II Application submittal to the National Disaster Resilience Competition Grant program, the only grantee in entire state eligible for a potential award.

Mr. Connor is involved with numerous community organizations such as the Dauphin County Housing Authority, Dauphin County Redevelopment Authority, Community Action Commission, Harrisburg University, Dauphin County Diversity Committee and LBA Baseball Association by serving as a board member, mentor and coach, just to name a few.

He currently resides in Harrisburg and has a 13 year old son who keeps him busy.
