Speech Contest Winners to Mid-Level
Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 Hershey Rotary Club 4-Way Test Speech Contest. All of the winners are from Milton Hershey School. First place was awarded to Jose Mendez-Montero; 2nd place to Ty’Jhon Hall; 3rd Place to Desmond Primus. Jose and Ty’Jhon will be participants in the Rotary District 7390 Midlevel contest, to be held on November 10 in Harrisburg. Club Family Picnic
 
The picnic will be held on Sunday, October 21, at Camp Catherine between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. A signup sheet will be available at Monday's luncheon or contact Clem at ceg5@psu.edu.  
 
World Polio Day Set for October 24
Please support the Group C Clubs which are hosting Polio Awareness event over the next few weeks. Assistant District Gov. Ray Delo has emailed the locations and dates of the nearby sponsoring restaurants and pubs. 
 
Foundation Dinner Set for November 8
The annual District Foundation Dinner will be held at the York Country Club between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Go to the District website to register for this event. 
 
"Real Men Wear Pink" and the Making Strides Walk
The American Cancer is recruiting volunteers for our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to our Rotary Club members for its annual fundraising walk. The Breast Cancer event will be held on City Island on Saturday, October 20th.  Mike McCormick will be at the event. -Additionally, we request your assistance in helping Mike achieve his goal of raising $2,500. We will pass the bucket at our next two meetings. If you cannot attend either of these meetings and would like to make a donation please contact Mike.
